As I mentioned before, Google Voice is currently only available in the United States, so it may not be possible to verify a Google Voice number directly from Nigeria. However, if you are able to create a Google Voice account using a U.S.-based phone number, the verification process is the same as for any other Google Voice account.
Here are the steps you would typically need to follow to verify your Google Voice account:
-
Sign in to your Google Voice account.
-
Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page, then select "Settings."
-
Click on the "Phones" tab.
-
Click on the "Verify" button next to the phone number you want to verify.
-
Google will then call or send a text message to the phone number with a verification code.
-
Enter the verification code in the appropriate field on the Google Voice website to complete the verification process.
Please note that these steps may change over time and may vary depending on the specific method you used to create the google voice account, also using a VPN to create a Google account may not be compliant with Google's terms of service.
It's also worth noting that even if you verify a Google Voice number it might not work for all the services provided by Google Voice, such as call forwarding, text messaging, and voicemail. Additionally, Google Voice is not yet available in all countries, so it might not be available in Nigeria yet.
